Ways to Give
FINANCIAL
Donations in the form of cash, check, or gift card are often the most difficult type to secure and are always welcome. All donations are greatly appreciated, no matter the amount. If you are interested in allocating money for a specific purpose (such as children’s snacks, gas for survivors or covering court cost), just let us know!
FOOD
We keep non-perishable food items on hand for our survivors and their children. As we all know children are always hungry for a snack. Crackers, granola bars, mac and cheese cups, and juice boxes go a long way in making the children feel comfortable and protected while at our Center.
When survivors are in need of a protective order, they are often at our Center for most of the day, often times during lunch. Tuna/chicken packs, protein bars, popcorn, etc. provide our survivors with something to eat while completing this lengthy, yet vitally important task.
In addition to feeding survivors while at the Center, many of the families we see benefit greatly from taking a few pantry items with them when they leave. Canned goods, cereal, canned proteins, breakfast items, etc. are all welcome items that give our survivors and their children proper nutrition while in this important transitional phase.
During our day-to-day operations our survivors of violence go through many bottles of water and cups of coffee. When each person comes through our door they are immediately offered water, coffee, and a snack to give them some sense of comfort and normalcy. We rely heavily on donations to keep these items in stock. Cases of water, packs of coffee, sugar, creamer, coffee cups and stirrers are very often in short supply.
